Thomas is an Assurance Services Principal in Grant Thornton’s public sector and not-for-profit practice in Southern Ontario. Over his 14 years of experience at Grant Thornton, he has led and managed clients through a variety of financial statement and compliance audits, financial statement reviews and business policy reviews. Thomas has also advised clients on cyber security issues and the business related impacts of cyber risks. Thomas is dedicated to providing clients with timely, relevant and responsive service. Thomas’ focus on superior client service has established himself as an important member of our team and a valued professional service provider. During the course of his career, Thomas has served a variety of industries, with specific focus on charitable and not-for-profit organizations. The industries Thomas has worked in include but are not limited to funded charitable organizations, non-profit housing corporations, long term care facilities, private clubs, municipalities, colleges, school boards, First Nations, hydro distribution and generation companies, and privately held businesses. Thomas has presented on several topics that impact the charities and non-profit sector from reserves to responsibilities of the Board of Directors to presenting financial information to non-financial people.
