Tim Newton has been helping business to start-up and expand across South Georgian Bay for over 15 years. He is proud to have played a role in the evolution of Ontario’s #1 Entrepreneurial Community; as ranked by The Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB). He has taught business and entrepreneurship through the Ontario Self Employment Benefit program, Georgian College and numerous high schools. Currently Tim heads up the South Georgian Bay Small Business Enterprise Centre located in Collingwood. In this role, he oversees a team that offers; business programs, consulting, workshops, events and regional economic development support. Tim is passionate about small business. He thrives when working with and connecting existing and budding entrepreneurs. He raves about the benefits of collaboration for the betterment of community and entrepreneurial spirit. Tim was born and raised in Oxford and holds an Honours degree in Business Management from the University of Exeter (UK). He immigrated to Canada in 2005. He serves as a Lieutenant with the Blue Mountains Volunteer Fire Department and can drive a Zamboni! He is most at home on the water – be it sailing, SUP’ing or canoe tripping.3 days / 50+ speakers
