Gloria Evans is an Employer and Community Liaison with Georgian College Centre for Career and Employment Community Services. In her work with Georgian College, Gloria has demonstrated an aptitude for empowering others . to pursue career choices to successfully meeting the demands of a changing world, while also providing support to local employers with their recruiting and on the job training needs.
Gloria’s shared passion for community capacity building, skilled trades and apprenticeships has resulted in hundreds of students and job seekers employed in the trades as apprentices and licensed journeypersons.
Over the past 22 years with Georgian College, she has held positions including Apprenticeships & Special Projects, Apprenticeship Employer Specialist, Bridges to Employment, Women In Skilled Trades, Employer Development Consultant – Apprenticeships, Access to Apprenticeship Facilitator, & Project Lead and in her current role as Employer & Community Liaison. During this time, she developed strong, trusted and successful business relationships with business leaders, a diversified client base, government leaders and community partners.
She is a dedicated and committed career practitioner with a professional background and work experience in human resources, business management and leadership, and marketing.
