Derek Hammond has been the Retail and Hospitality Manager at the Thornbury Craft Cider and Brew House since August of 2018.  He has extensive experience in the alcohol industry.  He managed the Grist Mill Winery brew-on premise winemaking shop for 8 years, was the Owner and Operator of The Silver Vine winemaking shop in Clarksburg for 9 years and spent time working in the Taproom both here at the Cider House and at Side Launch Brewery in Collingwood.  Derek is a fourth-generation lifelong resident of the Thornbury area and so has seen our historic building undergo a number of changes and usages throughout the years.  He excels in providing a top-quality customer experience for our guests.  Derek lives in Thornbury with his wife Jen and two daughters.
