Denise is the Owner/Operator of Olive Oil Co. Inc. with four permanent locations in Barrie, Newmarket and Midland along with a very successful online store. Denise’s keys to success are Clarity of Purpose, Individual & Community Connection, High Quality Product Development & Branding, Talent Development and Customer Focus.  Denise earned an Honours English degree from the University of Waterloo and am a lifelong learner, having spent the majority of her corporate career in the media business locally and internationally. Denise brings entrepreneurial strength particularly in the areas of event management, marketing and advertising as well as training and employee development.

Olive Oil Co. Inc. is completely locally operated, supportive of local charities and has won many business awards including New Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Tourism Partner of the Year and a number of Favourite Awards including Specialty Food Store, Online Ordering & Delivery and Customer Service. Denise has also been awarded the Barrie Chamber’s Arch Brown Entrepreneur of Excellence in 2021.

Denise loves all things local, having moved to this area in 2005, and brings a wealth of ideas, passion and a hands-on ethic that will encourage both a collaborative spirit and attract increased traffic to our shops. She is most interested in focusing on an improved business environment and for the economic health of our local waterfront communities – from restaurants to retail to professional services, residents, students and visitors, as well as the creative and recreational spirit that attracts innovation and culture to the core.
