Disruption is causing businesses to face marketing and technology challenges more rapidly than ever before, but with change comes opportunity. Chris works with businesses to understand how to scale and build growth that have not yet been visioned using innovative digital marketing, funding, software and technology approaches.
Chris and his team specialize in digital marketing strategy, innovation, funding mechanisms and business advisory services.
Chris loves when all aspects of product design align with overall corporate goals to produce exceptional customer experiences.
Chris’ philosophy is that start-ups are built on great ideas, team structure, product strategy, execution and agility, and that truly listening and understanding the needs of each customer and partner is crucial to success. These beliefs are core to the success of Chris’ current start-ups Adams Hamilton and gShift; and his previous start-ups, that include Hot Banana Software, a web content management system, and cgk Technologies, an Internet marketing and application development company. (Note: Both Hot Banana and cgk were acquired by Lyris in 2006.)
When Chris is not advising start-ups, he is a dedicated father, sailboat racer, cultural supporter, member of the rock band Sonic Coalition, Barrie Yacht Club board member and has been a Barrie Film Festival Board Member for the past 13 years. He is passionate about contributing to the community, by helping to build a sense of place within the City of Barrie.
Did you know that only about a third of surveyed business owners said they have a documented content strategy? That’s actually great news for the companies that do.
Failing to set up a content strategy is setting your content up to fail.
Without a documented strategy in place, you’re doing things haphazardly. And chances are good you’re making at least one of these content-killing mistakes:
- Targeting the wrong people
- Using the wrong voice
- Not knowing the right metrics to measure, or even
- Failing to measure anything
Most people don’t have a strategy in place because they feel it’s too time-consuming. But it doesn’t have to be.
We’re going to teach you how to set up your content strategy for 12 months in 5 minutes or less. Once you’ve read it, you will have the framework to instantly put yourself ahead of 2/3rds of the other companies out there.
