With only officially becoming an entrepreneur 5 years ago with the start of Oh Beehive, Alison has continued to grow an eco-friendly business that is not only practical, but also sustainable. Oh Beehive started in 2017 while Alison was on the lookout for an alternative to using plastic to store her lunch and snacks. Since moving into Oh Beehive’s second manufacturing space at the start of 2022, Alison has been able to expand her business offerings through Retail and Refillery. For the past year Oh Beehive! Beeswax Food Wraps and Bumble Bags have been on shelves at The Hudson’s Bay Company at the Georgian Mall, with a full Hudson’s Bay expansion on its way. Today, Oh Beehive is in 8 Hudson’s Bay locations, as well as approximately 25 retailers within North America, and has no signs of slowing down! With the organic growth that has been seen at Oh Beehive, Alison is always an open book when it comes to taking the next step and making sure you have the proper resources to thrive for small business success. Alison is not afraid to share what the past five years has thrown her way, personally and professionally. We never know what the future holds but the main message is to keep pressing forward, and enable customers to make small changes in their daily habits to encourage and help us care for our planet.
